In April, we announced our partnership with CCL Design, a division of CCL Industries, the global leader in specialty label, security, and packaging solutions. This strategic collaboration is designed to give Ynvisible global reach, strengthening our ability to meet growing commercial demand while ensuring speed and efficiency across key markets.
A few months later, in July, several of our colleagues visited CCL Design’s facilities in China, joining their team as they prepare to manufacture Ynvisible products. They spent a week working side by side with CCL’s engineers and operators, observing the production setup and sharing know-how to support a smooth technology transfer.
In this interview, Lúcia Gomes, COO, shares more about the visit and why it was so valuable for Ynvisible to witness CCL’s approach in action and collaborate directly as production ramps up.
Who went with you on this trip and why was it important for these Ynvisible team members to join?
I was joined by our Production Manager, Xu Dang and our Printing Manager, José Marques. Their presence was crucial: Xu Dang brought expertise in process flow and operational efficiency, while José supported the implementation and troubleshooting of our specific printing technology. Together, we ensured that all technical aspects of our production were properly transferred and understood. It was a true team effort, and being there together really accelerated our progress.
What was your schedule like in China?
We spent the full week at CCL and yes! our schedule was quite intense! We were on the production floor every day, in targeted sessions, and solving issues side by side with CCL’s team. We also made space for informal conversations, which were just as valuable.
CCL Design´s team was incredible - they made us feel truly welcome! They took us to great local restaurants and even showed us around nearby cities, which gave us a deeper appreciation of the local culture and strengthened our connection, which is critical when you’re starting a strong and long-term collaboration.
What were the main takeaways from this visit?
The visit to China gave me firsthand insight into how CCL Design operates. Their production standards are extremely high, and their teams are fast, capable, and highly engaged. It was reassuring- but not surprising - to see the level of professionalism and care they bring to everything they do. This visit definitely reinforced our confidence in the partnership.
What makes you excited about this partnership between CCL Design and Ynvisible?
It’s rare to find a partner with this combination of scale, discipline, and openness to collaboration. CCL Design has everything we could hope for in a manufacturing partner. Their engagement during the visit - and the way their team approached every challenge - made it clear we’re building something strong and long-term together.
How do you think this partnership may impact Ynvisible’s business?
Strategic partners like CCL Design are fundamental to our growth. They play a key role, enabling us to expand production capacity, increase flexibility, and reduce lead times. More importantly, they allow us to focus our internal resources on innovation and product development, while maintaining high-quality standards in delivering to our customers.
Are there any next steps or joint milestones you’re working toward now?
Yes, we’ve defined the next key milestones together. We’ll continue working closely with CCL Design over the next few months to reach the final qualification milestone and officially onboard them as a manufacturing partner.
