What it was like at embedded world Exhibition&Conference 2024

April 24, 2024

On April 9-11, our colleagues, Diogo Cunha, Product Manager & Business Development Associate and Milton Fernandes, Enterprise Project Manager, participated at embedded world Exhibition&Conference 2024, in Nuremberg, Germany. This is one of the biggest events dedicated to embedded systems and technologies.

It was the third year in a row Ynvisible was present at the event, and this year’s experience proved once again how rewarding this event is when it comes to not only staying up to date with the latest trends and developments, but also exploring new potential collaborations.

Embedded 2024 was also a great opportunity for us to meet and network with existing partners and distributors, such as Epishine, Ligna Energy, Syscom Prorep Group and Computer Controls s.r.o.

The third edition of the event also showed an increasing interest in printed technologies and we saw more of the large electronics companies present – both manufacturers and developers – which makes us expect to see even more exhibitors and a larger dedicated area in the following editions.

We also saw an increased interest in e-paper as an alternative, more sustainable, more cost-efficient display technology, which indicates that the e-paper market itself is on a growing path.

We were honoured to have many good conversations at our booth, with visitors looking to learn more about what our e-paper technology can do. Some of the most important features that caught people’s eye included:

  • ultra-low power consumption: e-paper displays require a very small amount of energy, making them the perfect choice for products that don’t integrate batteries, for example
  • integration with a variety of other technologies and smart sensors, making the product extremely versatile and suitable for many industries (such as smart labels, indicators, digital signs, electronic shelf labels, etc.)
  • activation through NFC, making them a good fit for IoT products.

Furthermore, we were happy to hear about our technology in some of the speakers’ presentations, and to see it used in other exhibitors’ demos.

This event opened many new and productive conversations for us. We are thrilled to see so much interest in our e-paper displays and the product and sustainability advantages they can bring. Ynvisible’s e-paper displays are thin, flexible, sustainable and cost efficient, and their applications range from retail, to logistics and supply chain, transportation, medical and pharma products, and more.
